FocusMicro is pleased to be a partner with EC Company of Portland in the Dryden Drop Tower Project at Portland State University

The Dryden Drop Tower (DDT) is a laboratory facility at Portland State University that is used to conduct research in a near weightless environment. The experiments conducted are valuable for the development of mathematical and computer models for predicting the behavior of unearthly phenomena that occur aboard spacecraft. Much of the specific projects support collaborative research activities with NASA.

FocusMicro provided sophisticated I.P. cameras, analytics and consulting to assist EC company to provide pre-drop zoned paging, and also to automatically disable the drop if a safety zone had a detected incursion.

Thurston County Emergency Services Center

The initial RFP was for a 16 Camera IP solution with over 100 attendees for the first walk through of the facility. FocusMicro proposed a comprehensive solution to fit the within the County budget. FocusMicro was the only company able to present an acceptable solution for the IT department that did not go over their allowed allocation of funds. Other vendors chose to ignore the budget cap and presented proposals that showcased what they wanted to sell the County. The FocusMicro provided solution with ONSSI product not only was offered within the budget, but provided the technology and solution the county had requested.

FedEx – O’Hare Airport

Recently, FocusMicro completed installation of a new camera and access control system to the new FedEx maintenance facility at O’hare Airport in Chicago. The 24 camera and 19 door access control system had numerous change order requests by the customer. The client requested specialized camera mounts to accommodate unusual roof overhangs. Even with numerous worksite challenges outside the control of FocusMicro, the project completed on-time, within budget and on schedule.
